Here's a highly collectible Epiphone Limited Edition Pirates of the Carribean SG for you to check out. It is brand new and the only playing it got is essentially what you see here. I take it out of the box for the first time and give it a good test...and it's a good thing I did...It did need a bit of a neck tweak (truss rod adjustment) and it also needed to have the action lowered. youre right … the movies were fine but like you said youve gotta be a pretty big fan to get something like this

greengtrs January 22, 2010 at 11:16 am

Yeah it is/was…and I liked the movies…but you have to be a really big fan to sport those graphics on your guitar…it’s for a youngster (or a youngster at heart). I thought it would make for a cool Christmas gift kind of thing for someone (which it did), so I bought it…live and learn (and I know better than to buy a guitar in a box…never again…). That being said…I’ve never really been into graphics on guitars…give me sound! Looks are the least important thing on my list.

hey man i bought a slash epiphone and it came with the cable you said is only good to tie things up in your truck.whats a good brand/cable i can use for my slash sig?

greengtrs January 22, 2010 at 3:03 pm

I like and use both Monster (Rock and Jazz) and Mogami cables. You are somewhat right though…it won’t make much of a difference, but it will make some. Your final sound is only as good as the weakest link. You have to step up to the mid level Monster to really hear any difference (Rock, Bass, or Jazz)…the lower end stuff is way better than the molded cables you probably have now though. With these high dollar cables you also get a lifetime over the counter no receipt needed warranty.

hey man i have a crappy Fender Squier so better cords don’t make a real big difference but if they do could u let me know which ones are recommended because i just have the original ones that came with it..
