about 30 minutes ago i bought the ovation iDea. coolest acoustic guitar ever. i have yet to test out the recording capabilities, but the sound and look alone are worth the price.

yea mayn the bowl on the guitar is shaped so that all the sound isnt trapped into the corners most shaped guitars have.
all of the sound is projected out

The Baby Taylors are nice, but I know what you mean about them being small…..kind of like something that you would want to play around a campfire or something…..

We will be glad to hook you up with one of these when you’re ready!

Well, it depends on what else is going on in the room…..it is about as loud as any other acoustic guitar. If you need an amp, we have a lot of options for you. Give us a call at 1-800-281-6607 and we can talk it over.

Thanks for watching!

Hi this is a great guitar, i just had a question.

Can we hear the guitar loud enough even without an amp? (Pure acoustic?)

I’d love to find info about my Ovation , I’d love to talk to Matt, mine is a 1967, but I’d like to know more about it. Is there a site I could contact Matt it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, awesome guitar picking.

I think you are right, these are light gauge strings….probably 11s. Matt is a great player and he really knows a lot about Ovations. Thanks for the comments.

Ovations are usually strung with 12s from new but these sound like lights 11s or even 10s could you please tell us. The guitar is wonderful and the demo really shows it off. Great!

Beautiful guitar, a shame the Studio version of the pre amp doesn’t seem to be available in the UK.
Good clear demo, Matt Smith is a great player.
