Good sound, I love Takamine but gay texture …

I have a Takamine jumbo eg523sc

zionsoldman February 26, 2010 at 10:32 pm

@joelkratz. No sir i’m right. The EF508KC is a pro series guitar. It has the more slender longer headstock as opposed to the shorter fatter headstock of the Gseries. Plus most g sereis say g series on the headstock. Look it up on on Takamine!!

joelkratz February 26, 2010 at 11:09 pm

@zionsoldman Not true. It is a G series.

Its a top of the line g series, but is a g.

zionsoldman February 26, 2010 at 11:28 pm

that model comes from Tak’s Japanese Pro shop like my EAN 10C. They soung so much better than the G series from Korea!!

I’m gettin it for christmas ;-)

mariofr87 February 27, 2010 at 1:27 am

nice!! but be sure that it might sound a little bit different due to the “missing” cutaway-

Atento80 February 27, 2010 at 2:16 am

very nice guitar, how match this ..? thank.

TrapperBuckCreek February 27, 2010 at 2:59 am

I have that exact same model! I just got it yesterday, and I love it.

you’ll have to see for yourself if the action is too low, otherwise filing isnt hard at all, so nothing to worry about.

tinacomegetsomefood February 27, 2010 at 4:33 am

hey thanks for the demo, i am getting this guitar the one without the cutaway, i am happy to hear it sounds really good, it also looked very nice too with the flowers/butterflies, i am excited about gettingit, i just wanted to ask if i do need to take the action down some is it hard to do that with a file or pretty easy? thanks!

ubergama30 February 27, 2010 at 4:42 am

im gonna buy one new for 300 :] no butterflies ( im not too worried about butterflies…)

journeyquest1 February 27, 2010 at 5:11 am

Besides the butterflys can i get the puppy dogs and fairys too?

KassieKern2012 February 27, 2010 at 5:30 am

I am buying a Takamine EF508KC acoustic electric All Koa wood on sunday. Going to Guitar Center to test out the sound once more, but it blows everything out of the water for its price. Paying around 2000 for it, but its sound is worth double that. Gold tuning keys, Abalone Snowflake inlays.. amazing guitar. The acoustic sound is rich and warm, and it sounds just as good plugged in. Definately a must have.

quickmantan February 27, 2010 at 6:01 am

go to the store and play it first always the way, unless youve played that model of guitar before never buy a guitar until youve picked it up felt it and heard it…

Takemines sound amazing,,, but dont buy ones made in korea,, buy the high end models made in japan,, cost more but the sound is amazing.

fenderistic February 27, 2010 at 6:42 am

i wish i could put a warm condenser up to it so you could really hear it.

abhijitgupta February 27, 2010 at 6:59 am

not impressed with the sound ..

fenderistic February 27, 2010 at 7:54 am

yea, but make sure you play it first, it has a unique feel to it.

megstshirt February 27, 2010 at 8:14 am

i really want this guitar…i found it for 630, do you reccomend it?

fenderistic February 27, 2010 at 8:44 am

Randy22123 February 27, 2010 at 9:39 am

FeetInTheWater February 27, 2010 at 10:24 am

Thanks a lot for that demo! Really helped me. I’ll be getting that model in a few days (without the butterflies, just natural finish) and am very excited.
